Looking back, what would you say was your best day? What day do you cherish more than any other? What day brings you a sense of joy, gladness, and peace?

A few suggestions to get things started:

• A graduation
• The day you met the love of your life
• A wedding
• Someone you love recovered from a serious illness
• The day you found your calling
• The birth of a child
• A trip somewhere

But maybe your best moment was not any one particular day. Perhaps it was a season of life:

• A favorite teacher
• A golden summer
• When your life was truly blessed and you didn’t know it wouldn’t always be like that
• Or perhaps you simply cherish family dinners or outings

Why not take a few moments and cherish those good days. Review them, revel in the good feelings, let the goodness soak into every part of your mind, body, and soul.

In the book of Revelation 21.5 the Risen Christ promises, “Behold, I am making all things new.” These good and wonderful memories exist in eternity, in a place in our souls that time cannot affect. They cannot age, or rust, or fade. And more than that, the good times are not over. Each day is a gift. Each day offers the opportunity to create a new day of joy.

What can you do to make today the best day you can? How might you use whatever you have available to create a day that sings with joy?
